Resin makes asphalt plastic, and asphaltene improves the cohesiveness and stability of asphalt.

Counterfeit and shoddy SBS coiled materials are based on oxidized asphalt, which is mainly composed of asphaltene, paraffin, etc. Since paraffin accounts for a large proportion, it will reduce the cohesiveness, plasticity and heat resistance of asphalt, and can not dissolve with modifier SBS, so it can not achieve good waterproof effect.
2. Selection of modifier:
The modifier added to counterfeit SBS coiled materials is not high-quality styrene butadiene thermoplastic rubber SBS, but waste rubber powder and plasticizer oil. Therefore, it has no elastic-plastic property, lacks low temperature resistance, has extremely low or no elongation performance, is brittle, and has no light and heat stability. Cracks or fractures may occur even when the temperature is above 10 ℃. And it is cold and brittle at low temperature and flowing at high temperature.
3. Selection of tire base:
SBS polyester tire modified asphalt waterproof coiled material uses filament polyester non-woven fabric as the matrix. It has very high tensile strength and high elongation. Make the coiled material have certain stress to adapt to the cracks caused by various deformations of the building. The composite thickness is relatively thick, which can better resist crack development, and has the advantages of puncture resistance, tear resistance, abrasion resistance and good durability. The base of fake and shoddy SBS coiled material is not filament polyester non-woven fabric, but glass fiber felt, glass fiber mesh and cotton blended non-woven fabric. Its tensile force and extension force cannot meet the requirements of polyester felt. At present, some small factories and some profit seeking manufacturers use the backward process of "clay crucible" to produce low-cost high alkali glass fiber felt (grid cloth). This material has a great loss of tensile strength after absorbing moisture in the air, which directly affects the durability and quality of waterproof material rolls, causing serious harm.
